Barleigh is of the species Hopgoblin (Goblinus Inebriatus) - not to be confused with Hobgoblin (Goblinus Boo) - and a right good example of the genus he is. Hopgoblins can habitually be found in breweries, inns, alehouses, and occasionally one's refrigerator. They are never seen without the Personal Tankard, which is presented to them upon hatching, and live on beer, brie and biscotti. Hopgoblins are easy to track down by following the trail of cheesy crumbs that fall from their tails, which serve for goblins as napkins.
Hopgoblins, being wont to pass out...er, go to sleep without notice, tend to forego the wearing of shoes, as they fear being unable to find them upon sobering up (researcher's note for further study - do Hopgoblins ever sober up?), mistakenly holding the belief that a small species of pink elephant steals their shoes whilst they are unconscious.
Barleigh has head and hands sculpted of polymer clay; he is 12 inches tall with a soft sculpture posable body and handsewn costume.
Wonderful peice, impressive sculpture and ingenious backstory. I'm very impressed with you technique and medium. How did you get an apposable body? Was it a different kind of clay and how did you attach it to his polymer parts? Sorry if I'm being to nosy, in the end it's your decision to answer my questions or not.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
